COLUMBIA, S.C. — A fireplace has greatly harmed a building at an apartment sophisticated on the southeast side of town, officers with the Columbia Fire Department say.

The fireplace happened at the Hampton Greene Apartments on Gills Creek Drive, which is just off Garners Ferry Road behind the Concentrate on browsing heart. 

Dozens of firefighters responded close to 3:15 p.m. and when they bought there they found major smoke coming from one making. The hearth was noticed spreading from the second ground to the attic.
